Senior Despatch Operative – Cwmbrân
£13.50 – £16.00 per hour (depending on experience) | Temporary with Ongoing Opportunities | Immediate Start Available

Nu Staff are recruiting for an experienced Senior Despatch Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Cwmbrân. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in logistics or despatch who is looking for a stable, long-term position within a supportive team.

You’ll play a key role in supporting and overseeing despatch operations, ensuring goods are processed accurately and shipped efficiently through leading courier and freight partners.

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Wednesday: 6:30AM – 4:30PM
• Thursday: 6:30AM – 4:00PM

(4-day working week – Friday off!)

Pay Rate:

• £13.50 – £16.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily despatch operations and prepare all relevant shipping documentation
• Liaise with major courier partners such as FedEx, UPS, and other logistics providers
• Input data accurately into despatch systems and track outgoing shipments
• Handle Dangerous Goods shipping documentation (experience advantageous, training can be provided)
• Communicate with internal departments to ensure customer orders are dispatched on time
• Maintain accurate records of all outgoing deliveries
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and Health & Safety policies
• Support and assist junior team members where required

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in despatch or logistics operations (essential)
• Confident working with carriers such as FedEx, UPS, or DHL
• Experience handling Dangerous Goods shipments (advantageous)
• Strong IT, administrative, and data entry skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong communication and leadership skills
