- Monday - Thursday: 8.00am - 4.00pm
- Friday: 7.00am - 3.00pm
- Lunch Break: 12.30pm - 1.00pm
Job Description
We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our client's team in Barry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the smooth operation of our client's leading wood processing facility on a temp2perm basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Manual handling of materials and products.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the workplace.
- Manually feeding the planer with various lengths of wood.
- Changing bags on the extraction system.
- Recording operational data accurately.
- Assisting in the sorting and grading of wood.
- Separating good quality wood from reject wood.
- Performing general timber handling duties.
- Operating a forklift (experience preferred but not essential).
Requirements
- Ability to handle materials safely.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift operation experience is a plus, but not required.
- Commitment to wearing the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
